URN registry

The University of Strathclyde has been delegated registration authority for the URN namespace urn:mace:ac.uk:strath.ac.uk.

The following are the parent namespaces, with links to their registry URLs:

Allocation and administration information for the University of Strathclyde's delegation of URN namespace are documented here.

Registrations under the namespace are available for middleware and other projects associated with the University of Strathclyde requiring the allocation of URNs. Send requests to the address below.

It may also be useful to know that the University can also allocate (or delegate) registrations of Private Enterprise OIDs, under the prefix 1.3.6.1.4.1.7577. These would be particularly useful for defining objects in SNMP and LDAP schemas. More information is available.
